My name is Claire Oertle and I started All About Africa in 2000, after a long career in the tourism industry worldwide.

I travelled all over Europe and Australia from 1986 - 1994 and travelled extensively around Southern Africa.I know Namibia very well, was born and raised there and love the country. Already as a young girl I loved visiting Etosha, the desert and Skeleton coasts.

In the last 10 years I have visited Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Mozambique a few times and travelled to various parts of South Africa and Swaziland/Eswatini. I have a passion for wild life, birding and conservation. I promote sustainable and responsible tourism, as anyone who knows me can confirm. My heart is in my business.

This makes the true treasures of these countries both self-experienced memories as well as a part of my everyday life.
